Hypertension and Obesity

High blood pressure is also called as hypertension. If you are having high blood pressure, the force of the blood pushing against the artery walls is consistently too high the heart has to work harder to pump blood. Obesity is a complex disease involving an additional amount of body fat. Obesity isn't just a cosmetic concern. It's a medical problem that increases the risk of other diseases and health problems like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers. Many factors can contribute to excess weight gain including eating patterns, physical activity levels and sleep routines. Excess weight gain especially when associated with increased visceral adiposity, is a major cause of hypertension.
