Biography
Trudie C. A. Lobban MBE, FRCP (Edin) is Trustee and Founder of Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A). Recognised as a world expert on all forms of arrhythmias, Trudie represents patients and their caregivers, as well as working closely with everyone involved in the care and treatment of those affected by cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac arrest. Established in 2004, the charity was successful in the introduction of a new chapter in the National Service Framework (NSF) for Coronary Heart Disease on Arrhythmias and Sudden Cardiac Death. Trudie was a member of the expert group engaged by the Department of Health to produce the first significant healthcare document specifically addressing arrhythmia services. She is instrumental in the development of A-A National Partners throughout Europe, America and Asia, and spearheaded the first international awareness event, World Heart Rhythm Week, supported by the World Society of Arrhythmias. Trudie has written papers and a chapter on syncope and arrhythmias as well as being a member of several research projects. She was awarded an MBE for her services to healthcare in 2008 and became a FRCP (Edin) in 2014. She is an internationally recognised patient expert and presents globally at scientific congresses.
